Recap of the year-discussion of last years banquet, Regionals, Junior Nationals, Holiday Show, competitions and meetings
Reports
- Membership – Membership started year 104 members-ended year 156. New membership applications were presented. Small increase in dues. Opens June 1st and due date is July 1st. After August 31 there will be a late fee of $25.00
- Treasury – Club is very stable Test Report-9 sessions, 1 per month-Charlotte discussed the process. July 31st will be the next session.
- Competition Report – more volunteers needed. State Games was successful. There were close to 300 skaters. We are trying to incorporate IJS judging in the future for upper level events along with 6.0 for lower levels.
- Fund Raising – briefly discussed fund raising for the coming year.
- Rink Management – Summer schedule discussed. Ground breaking was originally June 2 but postponed briefly. Announcement to follow. Third sheet is primarily for Panthers but will be utilized for hockey and figure skating. Parking lot extension to start very soon. Incredible Ice is changing from ISI to US Figure Skating Basic Skills.
- Report Dave re: US Figure Skating Annual Meeting in Denver- 2 judges pass a student if one wants a reskate-not necessary. In competitions if one competitor- they get the Gold Medal- it was voted down that they skate against the book
- Nomination Committee – Dave, Marie and, Betty,- Nancy, Charlotte and Susan were approved to the board for next term
New Board Business
- Holiday Show theme announced—DANCE, DANCE, DANCE Annual Banquet date announced Sep 5th—theme Black and White. Club Jackets were presented and approved. Question and answers
