Board Meeting Minutes – February 20, 2008

Meeting called to order 6:00pm
New Board Business
- Announcements from Nancy discussed:
- April the rink will be breaking ground on the 3rd sheet.
- Sessions will be added in April to incorporate separate high/low sessions
- Incredible Ice will be switching from ISI to US Figure Skating Basic Skills
- April 14th will be the Incredible Skate School
- South Florida Challenge report:
- Hotel rooms at Marriott Heron Bay confirmed
- Expected count for competition between 200-225
- Competition ice schedule reviewed
- Hospitality will be handled through Dan
- Party room will be set up for coaches with the same food as the judges
- Judges gifts up for discussion
- Treat bags ordered from Sharene—still waiting to receive them
- Suggestion was made to open meetings to members to come to form committees and get more involved
- Suggestion was made to implement a junior board
- Holiday show 2008 theme in question. We will implement a contest for a theme which will be used for the show. The winner of the contest will win a coupon book. Secretary (Lori) was asked to send an email to notify members of the contest.
